The head of the parliamentary group in the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, has stated that the PD will request an interpellation with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the case of Arben Ahemtaj and the SPAK investigations. In a statement to the media, Bardhi said that they requested an interview with Prime Minister Edi Rama on Thursday, July 20, to clarify the affair of the incinerators.
The DP group's request has been submitted to the Speaker of the Assembly.
"Public opinion during these days has been shocked by the facts that SPAK has revealed about Ahmetaj, while criminal responsibility is already a matter of justice for the prosecution to the court. It will be necessary for the deputy prime minister to give an account and provide public opinion on how to use the budget money of the state is financing the escape of the mobsters of the incinerator affair. Even though they have been announced as wanted internationally, they continue to receive money from the state budget. According to the regulation, a request for urgent interpellation is mandatory.
