The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Elbasan region, Tomor Alizoti, has called on Albanian immigrants in Italy to register en masse, as the only opportunity to defeat the Rama government and his gang on May 11.
From the meeting in Brescia, Italy, Alizoti said that no one wants to leave their country, family, friends and relatives, but a government led by the drug lord Rama has forced them to take to the streets of the world.
Alizoti also emphasized that the short time left available for immigrants to register for the May 11 elections is intentional, as according to him, the more difficult they are, the more aggressive and deceitful they will become.
"The diaspora is the cream of that small nation, with a painful history and a big heart. There is no Albanian who has not taken to the roads of the world to seek their destinies. The moment a person goes somewhere else, the person no longer has their family, language, friends, childhood with them, they are in another world. Unfortunately, we are a nation where more than half are abroad and a minority at home. Albanians cannot live without Albanians. We should not accompany our parents, and why shouldn't we live with them?! Because they have appointed a bunch of scoundrels to govern?
How can the Prime Minister have this friend Vučić, the enemy of the Albanians of Kosovo, and not have Prime Minister Kurti as a friend?! We are the most vital and energetic nation in the world. Why are they not successful at home, why have they taken the ways of the world to feed themselves? The most beautiful thing about this meeting today is that it is a natural, real meeting and not with ministers and deputies who come from Tirana. It is a free meeting, brought to you by a free spirit.
The path and difficulty of an immigrant is the greatest, the most unimaginable. All of you together, we have a vital mission. We have only Albania, it is today at the greatest crossroads. I cover the Elbasan region, the country of Albanian language professors, it is controlled by some ordinary bandits, it is not them, it is Rama. Berat, Durrës, Shkodra, all of Albania to be controlled by no one?! It has to be you.
Please register, they have deliberately left a short time, everyone register so that the vote is efficient. We are many, the more difficult these harmful people of our nation are, the more aggressive and deceitful they will become. We are the party of free people, truly, we are not the party of Aran Çela who executed people. We as the DP, if we all mobilize, we will move mountains", said Alizoti.
