In the first week of applications for voter registration of Albanians living abroad, to participate in the May 11 election process, according to official data from the CEC, 32,910 Albanians with the right to vote applied, of which 18,698 applications were reviewed.
Of these, only 11,847 were approved, meaning 6,851 of them were rejected.
We remind you that persons whose application has been rejected have the right to reapply until the deadline, March 4th.
So far, the greatest interest in voting from abroad has been shown by Albanians living in Italy, who account for more than 30% of applications, followed by Greece, Germany, the USA and the UK.
Also, male immigrants significantly dominate compared to females in their interest in voting, as compared to 66% and 34% respectively.
Meanwhile, the age group most interested in voting is 26-35 years old, followed by 36-45 years old, while the age group with the fewest applications is 18 to 25 years old.
