The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, will appear tomorrow at the Special Prosecution Office to implement the security measure "compulsory appearance" set by the Appeals Court of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party, in a message distributed to its structures, has called for another protest in front of SPAK. The protest is planned to take place tomorrow at 09:30.
Although he has changed his rhetoric against SPAK, Berisha is still following his old methods by gathering his supporters in front of the Special Prosecution Office and opposing the security measures imposed against him. Meanwhile, Berisha has previously opposed the presence of supporters of Mayor Erion Veliaj in front of SPAK and accused the police of refusing to take measures to guarantee the situation.
"Dear friends. Tomorrow, Monday at 9:30 AM, the President of the Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, will again be at the doors of SKAP. Please mobilize the branch structures so that everyone is there. At 9:30 AM in front of the SKAP headquarters. Thank you," the message from the Democratic Party reads.
The Chief Democrat will have to appear at SPAK twice a month, exactly on the first and third Monday of each month.
In December, SPAK appealed in the Special Appeal the release of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha from house arrest and requested the reinstatement of the measure. Berisha was released on November 27, 2024 after spending about 1 year under house arrest, as he was accused of being involved in the "Partizani" file.
