Despite the painful 2-1 elimination by Norway in the 1/8 finals of the World Cup, Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving his post.

The Italian coach described the defeat as "bitter", but stressed that he remains motivated to continue working and lead the reconstruction of the "Selecao" in the coming years.

"As long as I feel passionate, I want to continue doing this job. We have to think about everything. It is clear that we need to make changes in the midfield. We need new talents and high-level players who can help the national team in the future," Ancelotti declared.

The 67-year-old coach, who has a contract with Brazil until 2030, admitted that the team must start a new cycle, especially after the departure of several important figures, including Casemiro, who played his last match with the Brazil jersey.

"We will continue to do our job and look for new ideas, just like we did this year. This is football, this is sport. Sometimes you have to face the sadness and the bitter taste of defeat. I am used to that. We will use this defeat as fuel for a new cycle," he added.

Despite the huge disappointment and early elimination, Ancelotti seems determined to stay at the helm of Brazil and build a new team, with the aim of returning the "Selecao" to the top of world football.
