From "mathematics" to the Roskovec bazaar, Meta ironizes Rama: His

The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has called on the opposition to present its alternative for the Territorial Reform. He stressed that the mistake made by the Democratic Party when it was led by Lulzim Basha should not be repeated.

In a Facebook post, Meta writes that for about ten years, Edi Rama has controlled not only the majority, but also the opposition, attributing this to the "corruption of the leadership of that time."

He recalls that the Territorial Reform was approved even though the government did not have the necessary number of votes.

"Unfortunately, Edi Rama approved the variant he wanted even when he only had 65 votes out of the 84 he needed 11 years ago," Meta writes.

According to him, the opposition at that time did not present any alternative project. "'Mathematician' never presented an alternative project to the Parliamentary Commission and as a reward received 'underground' support from the SP structures in Lezhë, Pogradec, etc., which at that time was described as the 'market of Roskovec' ," Meta declares.

Although he expresses skepticism about the opposition's real influence on the decision-making of the current majority, he emphasizes that an alternative stance remains necessary.

"Although I am not optimistic that the opposition's participation in this Commission will be influential in the final decision of the majority (83 + 3), again, out of respect for the citizens who suffer the destruction of public services today by the local government, I believe that the opposition has a duty to present its alternative to Albanian citizens, but also to the Parliamentary Commission ," Meta writes.

The leader of the Freedom Party argues that the Territorial Reform has brought about the degradation of public services and weakened local representation, deepening inequalities between regions and administrative units.

Meta adds that the current model violates the equality of votes and the functioning of local democracy, calling it unconstitutional.
