The head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, speaking about the latest political movements and the Reestablishment agreement with the SP, stated that he had no plans to be part of this game.
Invited to the show 'Top Story', on Top Channel, he stated that there is an underground game between a group of people who sacrifice the Commissions.
" I personally have not made an effort to be in this game. I have consciously refused to be part of this game. There is an underground game which in these 34 years has taken the form of 'eat the meat but keep the bone', of a political caste which is produced in Albania and some other countries.
There are a handful of people who, even when it comes to reforms necessary for people, sacrifice them. The Electoral Reform Commission is an institution, but today it has fallen and been replaced by a cesspool. There is a commission on laws, and these said they will create not even a subcommittee, but a working group.
The facts show that the DP is the only party engaged in the Commission, it is partly the fact that it did not work because of the other party, but the DP itself has two key moments that it submitted in December 2023 and November 2024, two drafts that deal with two problem" , said Basha.
Asked why the PD did not ask for the open lists before, he said that they did, but that the SP "pretended to open them", but according to him, the time limit was set and the coalitions were removed.
" It was our request that was misused by Rama when he pretended to open the lists, but in fact removed the coalitions. This fact is, and Berisha and others have been by my side. Then what is said after the passage of time and other events, this must be judged. We have asked for the opening of lists since 2020, and the SP pretended to set the quotient and remove the coalitions. They were partially opened and cost the citizens 85,000 invalid votes ," said Basha.
