"I didn't hear 'goodbye to Albania'", Berisha on the
Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, commented on the statements of NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, according to which the next Alliance summit is expected to take place in Albania.

Berisha said that, despite these statements, he has his doubts and claimed that Prime Minister Edi Rama received a "red card" during his visit to Ankara.

Although he expressed reservations about holding the summit in Tirana, the leader of the Democrats said that he had not heard a direct confirmation during the last Alliance meeting.

"I did not hear a word of goodbye in Albania, in Tirana. I did not hear it. The truth is that in the previous summit for 2027, Tirana was designated, this is known. But for over two months different rumors have been circulating. I cannot comment, neither on whether it is taking place nor on whether it is not taking place ," Berisha said.

Berisha also focused on Rama's participation in official activities in Turkey, commenting on the prime minister's manner of dressing and claiming that he was not well received during the presidential dinner.

"I believe you saw it, right? There was the loneliest man. The most stigmatized charlatan. The most slandered joker. Who thought that with white sneakers, not using the expressions he deserves in this case, he could attract attention and attracted only contempt. You saw it yourself. There is not a photo. There is not a word. There is only his sneakers. For which the Turkish protocol, at the presidential dinner, gave him a red card: You can't come! He was even forced to go back, stop being an exhibitionist, but to go down to normal shoes for such events. Look at him when he goes, when he enters the presidential palace for the president's dinner. But he was not tolerated there, he was despised", declared Berisha.
