Despite being expelled from the party, former MP Ervin Salianji has become part of the DP's national protest. Although he was not among the speakers at the protest, Salianji said in a media interview that every citizen should protest against Edi Rama's government, as it is a rotten government that works for the interests of only a handful of people.
"Every citizen should protest against the government of Edi Rama, as it is a rotten government, which has devastated Albania and works for the interests of only a handful of people. For these reasons, my presence at the protest is not news. I am a little far from the podium as I have chosen to talk to the democrats and share different positions. I am not part of the organization of the protest, which is why I am among the protesters ," Salianji explained.
When asked what is happening between him and the DP, Salianji said that he does not back down from his statements.
" I stand by everything I have said. I have not had any activity this week to respect the opposition's protest. I will continue this week the same form of organizing the Democrats. Citizens' dissatisfaction with Rama is massive and we must move with the times and with what society expects ," he concluded.
