But will they manage to block the renewal process?
A year ago, Edi Rama declared that there will be neither a pact nor contact with the non grata announced by the USA and Great Britain.
Not even 10 months passed, and the leader of the majority authorized the pact with Sali Berisha to integrate it as the first opposition in the priorities of parliamentary negotiations. Pact that directly affected the stamp issue, then brought about an agreement that brought us back to 2008.
A pact that blocked open lists and stopped any possibility to renew the political elite through the vote. That is, for the citizens to decide who is the deputy and not the party leaders.
Meanwhile, apart from this movement, namely the political part, as always, the pact between Edi Rama and Sali Berisha runs parallel to business deals. The towers that were given to the close people of Sali Berisha's son that appeared in the media, of course fed by Rama himself, as if to show that I have kept the pact. where are we In 2008!
Then, in support of the agreement to turn Albania into a Republic of prime ministers and party leaders, construction permits were approved in the Tirana Lake National Park.
Where it was built on the dam, the part adjacent to the Zoo, turned into a concrete surface, where both parties had access to construction. Not even the normal lobbies of construction companies, but from the most dangerous basifunds associated with crime.
How many murders have taken place in the lake area all these years, how many murders have taken place on the lake properties these years? Endless!
Because the division of the loot was done as in Ottoman times, without considering laws and regulations, urban planning or social justice. Only modern "knights" and "baylers" can be satisfied.
But the Rama-Berisha pact went even worse, as it touched the essence of the reform in Justice, the 2016 pact, where Edi Rama chose to be with the Americans and Sali Berisha against.
Through a legal amendment, it was decided that the Parliament could overturn the anti-corruption operation of SPAK and the Special Court against the Crime of Corruption.
So the Parliament could even question the power of the new Justice. Something that is considered taboo both in the constitutional changes for the reform in Justice, as well as in the architecture of the new institutions; from the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Prosecution Council, the Supreme Judicial Council, SPAK, GJKKO, etc.
According to this, architecture is politics, that is, the parliament that sets the general lines, but it has no possibility to interfere in the appointment of judges, in their vetting, or in the movement of prosecutors and so on.
But with the Rama-Berisha amendment, this was overturned with an amnesty. Which was a kind of test with "submarine 105". So, what the people of Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta say repeatedly on television. That the Parliament should show justice that "stop Beg because there is a gap".
It was only the first step, which has created in politics that alliance that is facing the international community today, to stop the circulation of elites. Today, Sali Berisha is in an inferior situation with Edi Rama, but both of them risk leaving as a result of justice. And their pact in the 2025 elections is a throwback, as it was in 2008.
But will they manage to block the renewal process? Of course not, they are just showing Americans that the old elite control the sprouts. But there is another philosophy that may prevail in this case. That of the total flattening of the old field, as happens with wheat when it is harvested.
