Former Democratic Party member Alesia Balliu has harshly criticized former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the leadership of the Democratic Party. She described the party's defeat in the recent elections as expected, accusing Berisha of selecting weak candidates who, according to her, were set up to protect his personal and family interests.
According to Balliu, the vote recount was a farce that cost the public budget 2 million euros and did not bring any concrete results. She did not spare criticism of Fahri Balliu’s son, Klevis Balliu, calling him “a procrastinating protagonist who fights like Don Quixote with an image and shoots paper airplanes”. She questioned the ability and integrity of many of the current figures of the DP, emphasizing that the lack of transparency and accountability is alienating citizens from the opposition.
She concluded the statement by emphasizing that Sali Berisha's departure from the leadership of the Democratic Party is inevitable, not only as a moral obligation after successive defeats, but also as a political necessity to pave the way for true reform of the opposition.
"The elections took place and Sali Berisha was the loser like last time and now. It was something to be expected because he put weak people in the race. These individuals did not fight a political battle, they are individuals who are determined to preserve Berisha's chairs. The majority do not even know education, they are weak players. Fari Balliu's son, as an old protagonist, has learned that the peaks are reached by licking and crawling. He fights like Don Quixote with imaginary players and shoots them with paper airplanes. Fari Balliu's son has no enemies.
No kind of analysis has any value without Berisha resigning, as long as Berisha is there, the analysis is null. Sali Berisha is staying to protect the interests of his children and the deputies who are behind him are for their own interests. These are catapulted individuals who have benefited from Sali Berisha for years. If they raise their voices against Berisha, they know that they are lost.
