The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke today at a media conference regarding Prime Minister Edi Rama's order to dismiss the directors of the Vlora municipality.
Berisha was accused of saying that such acts only happen in North Korea.
Berisha described this decision as another act of scapegoats, emphasizing that only a one-party state can destroy local governments.
"Only a one-party state annihilates local governments. Dismissing directors is another act that shows the heads of the Turks. We never accept such acts that only happen in North Korea... They were not told what order they implemented or did not accept from their mayor, they take orders from the mayor, not the prime minister. I am doing everything to find out.
