The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group has submitted to the Assembly this Monday a legal package that combines the public interest with the interest of Albania's membership in the European Union.
This news was announced by Gazment Bardhi, who has publicly articulated the causes of the protesters who have been demanding it from the Prime Minister's Office for 8 days.
The package that the DP has submitted to the Parliament, according to Bardhi, contains:
1. Repeal of the Law on Strategic Investments.
2. Repeal of the amendments to the Law on Protected Areas.
3. Repeal of the Law on the Mountains Package.
4. Repeal of some provisions in the Law on Cultural Heritage.
"The package we submitted to the Assembly is not simply an opposition party initiative. It brings to Parliament the voice of society protesting against the destruction of Albania by a government that has until now treated the country as private property," said the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi.
It was the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, who announced the change of stance on the protest, after the 'flamingo revolution' reached its 8th day yesterday.
Although there were no shortage of protesters' cries against him in the square, with the messages 'opposition sold out' and 'Berisha in prison' , the leader of the DP declared that these are the strongest protests against Rama.
"Edi Rama used his regular Sunday monologue today to attack, threaten, and belittle tens of thousands of citizens who have been protesting for a week in the most powerful protests against Edi Rama, demanding his resignation, demanding the annulment of his decisions which are a major threat to the environment in Albania and ultimately disrupt the investment climate in the country," Berisha said yesterday.
