The DP continues its rallies in front of the Prime Minister's Office...
Opposition militants gathered again this evening in front of the Prime Minister's Office, as part of a series of rallies that began 4 weeks ago.
The DP has decided to hold weekly rallies in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
Like last time, today's rally began shortly after 6:00 PM and the participation is not large. The DP itself has stated that its goal is not participation, but the determination to demand the removal of this government.
This scenario began after what the DP calls a blockade in the Parliament. The opposition has requested investigative committees, interpellations or motions with debate, but has been rejected. For this reason, the Parliament has moved to the Prime Minister's Office where representatives of the party speak, but not only.
The rally was also attended by DP leader Sali Berisha, who had just left his apartment and joined the crowd.
Berisha remembered the students of December '90, who according to him declared themselves invincible even though the regime of Ramiz Ali reserved the "whip" for them.
Berisha mentioned his appreciation for Generation Z, which according to him today represents the highest ideals of the time and human aspirations.
" You citizens present in this square, the square of freedom. In these two years, much has been said about the Z generation. The generation that is the young people who actually overthrew cruel dictatorships, in Nepal, Bangladesh and in other countries. This generation has become the bravest, most brilliant spokesperson for the ideals of the time, the aspirations of the time. It is this generation at the forefront of the battle for freedom of human society. But if we go back 30 years ago, the students of the University of Tirana were in incomparable conditions. In Albania, everything was suppressed. A small group of students, they did not agree and one night of December 8, they went out in protest and at 1 am they were received by the president of the Republic at that time who, after the meeting, reserved the whip of state security for them ", said Berisha.
