Primaries in the DP, Shehi: The names are predetermined!

The head of LZHK Dashamir Shehi commented on the primaries that are taking place in the Democratic Party.

Shehi said that in principle he is in favor of the primaries, that this process brings out the best people within the party. However, Shehi added that there is a possibility that the primaries will bring out names that have been predetermined and if this happens, it would be something negative.

"Primaries are a democratic form. There would be nothing wrong if the DP chose the best people within the party. We chose primaries with the citizens. If the DP chooses the best people in the cities, it is something positive."

"But if primaries are used to elect some pre-selected candidates, this is something bad and brings problems within the party. I think that in some small towns, primaries do not make sense, because there are only 3-4 people there. Only those who serve the mayor should not be on the list," Shëhi told "News 24".
