So far, with the exception of two members of Parliament and some media outlets that directly or indirectly have interests in any of the candidates, the latter themselves have not reacted.
Members of the Albanian parliament, from both its left and right, have engaged in unprecedented acts of interference in the powers of an independent body with a Constitution, legal and sub-legal acts, such as the RTSH and its Steering Council.
It is a flagrant intervention, requiring the imposition of political will in the election of the General Director of RTSH by its Steering Council, composed of 11 members elected by vote by the Albanian Parliament.
The latter's task has ended in the election of members according to legal procedures, then the law and the Statute of RTSH clearly define the competencies and deadlines of the Steering Council for the election of the General Director.
The RTSH Statute was followed letter by letter in this procedure. At the end of the 10-day deadline for interested parties to submit the competition documentation, the Steering Council was convened to directly administer the process.
With decision no. 3, the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Steering Council was established to select candidates who have completed the documentation for the competition. In the absence of the documentation required for the competition, the Steering Council with decision no. 4 disqualified 5 potential candidates.
After verifying the documentation, the Steering Council has reviewed the fulfillment of the criteria, based on the submitted documentation. Apparently, for the remaining 5 names, there was no consensus on their passage to the hearing phase and the Steering Council has decided to vote on who meets the criteria. Through the vote, the result of which is public and to date, has not been contested by anyone, the Steering Council has decided that only two candidates meet the criteria and should proceed to the hearing session.
The only issue that can be "discussed" is the online vote of one of the members of the Steering Council. It can be contested since it was a vote of names, of people. But, even if it is considered valid, invalid, in favor or against the 5 candidates who were voted for meeting the criteria, it does not change the result: again, only 2 candidates pass the hearing phase, those approved by the Steering Council of RTSH at Monday's meeting.

The only legal and moral way is to appeal the acts of the Steering Council to the Administrative Court, where, most likely, nothing will change because the law and the RTSH Statute have been implemented letter by letter.
