The former prime minister warned that the protests will continue without interruption in the streets and in the parliament.
From Gjirokastra, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha says that Monday's protest has nothing to do with the meeting of the Council of Mandates that will examine SPAK's request to tighten the security measures against it.
At the meeting of the leadership of the branch of this city, Berisha said that the protest is against the coup d'état that, according to him, the government is doing to the Constitution and that it has nothing to do with the problems he has with justice.
"We do not protest about the person, but we protest strictly about the coup d'état within the state that Edi Rama is doing by taking over the power of the parliament. These protests will be non-stop now. There is no other solution. Or submission and signing from now on the victory even in 2040 of Edi Rama."
Berisha said that in addition to the protests in the streets, the protest will also continue in the parliament by the deputies.
"The movement in the parliament has its own goals. It will continue, it has not yet fulfilled its mission, but this movement must be a civic movement."
Speaking about Greece's threats to hinder Albania's EU integration, Berisha said that he would have done the same if he were in the place of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
"It broke relations with a country that has never hindered us in the integration process. Absolutely, if I were him, I would do the same thing and with the greatest strength."
Berisha said that as long as Rama is prime minister, Albania will not be integrated into the EU and there will be no free elections.
