Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has reacted to the detention of journalist Elton Qyno by SPAK, who was asked to provide the source of the information he publishes. SPAK searched his apartment, and seized his work computer and phones.
Berisha said that months ago some important evidence for the discovery of dozens of murders of a remorseful killer of Justice Nuredin Duman was sold by political order.
According to him, this was an attempt by law enforcement bodies to help criminal organizations escape from Albania, and as an attempt to cover up their crime, they took journalist Qyno hostage.
"Dear friends, months ago the shocking but extremely important evidence for the discovery of dozens of murders of a remorseful witness killer of Nuredin Duman's justice was sold by political order, of course against millions and published in the country's media.
As to the special role of the repentant witness in not one but several of the most dangerous organized crime organizations, his testimony outweighed any other repentant witness testimony before him.
So the sale of the Dumani file by those who administered it and kept it in the vault of secrets constituted the most serious and criminal act in the history of the country's investigation
This sale was a destruction of the efforts of the law enforcement bodies to bring before the law dozens and dozens of orderers, hexes and doras of murders, robberies, rapes in Elbasan, Durrës, Shkodër, but also abroad by the most powerful criminal organizations of Albania.
The sale of the Duman file proved that Skapi, down to its deepest recesses, is under the complete control of criminal organizations.
With the sale of the Duman file, the orderers, embezzlers and perpetrators of many criminal acts were told to run away, but in addition, the repentant Duman, who with his testimony did a very valuable service to society, was betrayed, betrayed to suffer an early death. later the fate of Arben Lleshi in the highest security cells in Albania.
From the sale of the Duman file, Taulant Balla also won, who, according to Duman, was not the person who had ordered to hide the revolvers in the house of a citizen in order to arrest him as someone who had not been defeated by Balla's gang. The publication of this segment of Dumani's testimony does not exonerate Balla, but implicates him even more deeply.
So with the sale of the Dumani file, the party scapegoats committed a multiple crime which I have denounced several times.
But this act is made even more criminal by the last attempt of the Scapists who, in order to cover their crime, took hostage the journalist Elton Qyno, who with his publications did a very valuable service to the Albanian public by proving to him that Skapi has sold the file more secret to criminal organizations and that de facto it is an organ completely controlled by them.
In the communiqué for the media after the scandal of the hostage-taking of the journalist Qyno, Skapi of the party writes: "This situation presented in the media created doubts that we could be in front of the elements of criminal offenses: "Disclosure of acts or secret data" and "Prohibition of providing and announcing data in violation of the law", provided respectively by articles 295/a paragraph (3) and 313/b point (1) of the Criminal Code. Upon this, the Special Prosecutor's Office began investigations and registered criminal proceedings no. 245/2023, for the commission of the above two criminal offenses."

-Secondly, who violated the law, the prosecutors who betrayed Duman with the sold file and announced dozens of delinquents to leave because they were discovered, or the journalist Elton Qyno who, in accordance with the law, does not reveal the source of the information and does not agree to have his source deleted as it was did the scapists with Duman.
For every person who obeys the law, lawbreakers are those who sold the file, betrayed Duman, while the brave journalist Elton Qyno is a brave servant of the Albanian public and its interests", said Berisha.
