MP Erisa Xhixho, also the vice-president of the PL, said that the Freedom Party's campaign, despite being isolated, is led by Ilir Meta.
She said that everyone from the Freedom Party is on the ground in support of the opposition coalition's victory.
" The campaign is led by the president of the Freedom Party, just as he leads the entire party, even though he is in extreme isolation. While on the ground, we are all the same, working for victory, regardless of ranks from the simplest member to the member of the steering committee, the member of the presidency and all the others, the unity is in Ilir Meta. So, all of us and here I am talking about the sensitivity that the supporters have shown for the founder of the party for the courage he had to compete on an open list, even though he was in extreme isolation ," said Xhixho.
Asked by "Euronews Albania" if it is Ilir Meta's son who is leading the campaign on the ground, Xhixho said that the campaign is led by only one person and he is Ilir Meta, while Besar Meta has the role of every other member and every citizen who supports the Freedom Party and the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition.
" Besi is an educated man who grew up in the LSI and the Freedom Party, and undoubtedly Besi joins the causes of the Freedom Party. He has always been there, but it is exciting because he is in support of his father in the face of this regime. Besar Meta and every citizen today, without a doubt, are in support of the president of the Freedom Party, Meta, but also of the opposition cause. Beyond the vote for Mr. Meta, we ask for the vote for the "Great Albania" coalition. Albania needs a rotation, for lower taxes, for welfare for citizens, a new economic model and for the implementation of the opposition coalition's program as soon as possible, " said Xixho.
" Not long ago, we had some of Mr. Meta's campaign materials that required his approval to display, posters and other materials, but we were not allowed to present them. Isolation does not only occur in meetings with the party leadership and MPs, but also in these very simple things that do not pose any danger, just to isolate him to the extreme and make Mr. Meta's campaign impossible ," she said.
