IGJEUM warns: Beware of fires, 6 counties at high risk for today

Fire risk from high temperatures in some regions of the country

The Institute of Geosciences has warned of a high level of risk for several regions of the country this afternoon and tomorrow.

According to the announcement, the risk will be "HIGH" in the regions of Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Elbasan, Fier and Berat, while in the other regions a "MODERATE" risk level is expected.

In some specific areas the risk may be locally "HIGH", specifically in the south of Shkodër district, in the western part of Dibër district and in the northwest of Vlorë district. The greatest intensity of the risk is expected during today.

Regarding weather conditions, no rain is expected this afternoon.

Meanwhile, light rainfall is expected tomorrow in the districts of Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër and Korçë, while in the districts of Lezha, Tirana and Elbasan there may be light local rainfall.

Temperatures for tomorrow are expected to range from 20 to 31°C in coastal areas, from 17 to 35°C in low-lying areas, and from 14 to 30°C in mountainous areas.

The wind is expected to be light to moderate during this afternoon and tomorrow.
