Why so many officials before justice? Rama: We cannot clean all the scum of the

Prime Minister Edi Rama was asked about the fact why many high officials are facing justice. He reiterated that he has never commented on decisions or processes that belong to justice institutions.

According to Rama, Albania is currently in a historic phase as far as the "battle" against the crime of corruption is concerned.

Journalist:  11 years ago you thought that the system was corrupting the individual, today after 11 years when many officials are in front of justice, do you think the same?

Prime Minister Rama:  First, it is surprising to me that I have been answering this question for years and I do not know what is not understood from what I say. But I want to remind you that what is happening with justice is not separated from what I have said, they are together. Because when I said, it is not the people who corrupt the system, I did not say a word that I invented. This is public knowledge, I have learned it and I believe it 100%. Second, precisely because I believed what I said, I led the effort for justice reform. As part of the battle to build a system that people cannot corrupt. I don't know how you measure it, a lot or a little is relative and depends on what point of reference you start from. SP has 800,000 supporters, there will be even more in the spring. During these mandates, there must have been over 50 ministers, over 500, 600 local leaders, over 200 deputies. What does it mean now very, very what?! You can say that the reform was brought by America by plane, you can say it... Meanwhile, for anyone who knows and will know the history of justice reform, it is enough to go back to the time when we were in opposition. They are with documents.

Will we clean the scum out of the justice system? A lot of it has been cleared, hasn't it? These are questions that I asked before the justice reform. Don't you think that when I have repeatedly said that we want a justice that sees straight and when it is to hit, to hit who should be hit, do you think that I made rhetoric? For fun? Everything I say and think, I believe... Look for a prime minister in all of Europe, who has not made a comment on a concrete issue. Why? Because I comment on your work, don't I have comments to make? I'm full, but this is strategic decision-making. We removed our hands from that power, it is the first time in the history of this country. When you read the story, it seems as if it was made by people who came from the moon, no, they were like that, like us. This is a time that is becoming history in Albania. I'm neither here to eat chicken nor to enjoy life the way those with more cars than socks understand it. I'm here for history and we're making history! It is the first time since 1912, give me facts, tell me when Albania had a trial, a process unaffected by political power?!
