Prime Minister Edi Rama has requested that the two countries solve the issues as European countries.
During his speech from the meeting with the Albanian emigrants in Athens, Rama said that the disputes between Albania and Greece will be resolved as far-sighted European citizens and not as gullible Balkans.
As he compared it with the opposition in our country, Rama attacked saying that the opposition does the same thing and that it lacks communication.
"In these years, I and our government have tried to get this absurdity away from us. We have tried to leave with dialogue, with understanding.
In the Prime Minister of Greece, I have found the most open interlocutor of these 10 years. In Albania we have an exact opposition that does the same thing as not in Greece. When they intend to mention Albania, a direct communication would also help them.
We must resolve disputes as far-sighted Europeans and not as gullible Balkans. I am really sorry that these cyclical frosts have prevented progress in some more important directions ," said Rama.
