According to " Business Insider ", the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives is threatening to call the heads of the FBI to a hearing for a bunch of information about Charles McGonigal.

The FBI and Justice Department "may be attempting to conceal the true extent of McGonigal's criminal conduct to avoid further damaging the Bureau's reputation," committee chairman Jim Jordan alleged in a letter Tuesday to FBI Director of, Christopher Wray. Jordan requested in February that the FBI turn over documents related to McGonigal after he was indicted in New York and Washington, but the bureau never responded, a committee spokesman told Business Insider. But now the congressmen are asking for the disclosure of the facts, requesting that the evidence file be made available.

" If you refuse to voluntarily submit the requested documents and information, the Commission may be forced to consider the use of compulsory process ," Jordan points out.

McGonigal is accused of money laundering and collusion with the Russians. In one case, he also mentions the meetings with the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and some other people, where they talk about 225 thousand dollars. The case caused quite a stir, but McGonigal appears to have settled it by agreement. Since Congress is run by Republicans and McGonigal has been used to bash Trump, congressmen are trying to reopen it as an issue.
