The storm of dismissals is a maneuver by Edi Rama to avoid discontent, but the end is approaching...
The summer circus of mass resignations of the country's municipal directors, on the orders of Edi Rama, has today reached absurd proportions.
As in the scenes of the Chinese Cultural Revolution of Lin Biao's time, we are seeing a parody of the improvisation of the "revolution of the masses", but it is not complete.
Because if they had to be lynched for unfinished business and for "hostility towards the party and the people," the first ones to be thrown before the "people's court" are the mayors.
Because they have elected the directors, the heads of administrative units, along with the relevant inspectors and the administration.
There is no implementation of “popular justice” without striking at the “working class aristocracy.” If we were truly to have a punishment, the first ones to be punished would have to be the mayors, who were exclusively elected by Edi Rama, without receiving either the vote of the SP branch leaderships or the vote of the central leadership.
The declassification that Edi Rama is making of the work of mayors, starting from Tirana, Vlora, Durrës, Fier, etc., is nothing more than a delegitimization of the massive mandate received by the Socialist Party on May 14, 2023. Politically, it is a very good card for any opposition to use in the electoral campaign of the next two years for local elections. Which Rama wants to indicate, telling the public, that if you want to vent on the socialists, go to the heads of municipalities and not the government. A tactic commonly used by dictators and authoritarian leaders, who prepared "red meat" to throw at the people, a way to attract attention.
In Albania, Enver Hoxha found internal enemies, even his closest people, so that people would move the target and not deal with the great man. Who always came out disappointed by the "excessive trust" he had given to his own, "naive and idealistic", who then blew them up and destroyed their family.
This tasteless circus that Edi Rama is putting on is an opportunity for the opposition not to get involved in his idiotic games, but to target him directly.
In fact, the opposition should not have any complex about protecting (where it is supposed to protect) those mayors who have done their job, as well as the staff who are being violently dismissed.
The opposition has a great chance to make the great separation of 'the chaff from the sugar', by denouncing and undoing Edi Rama's game.
Rama expects the opposition to follow suit, accusing those who left, in order to create a popular consensus.
The Prime Minister is committing an unconstitutional act, since it is the mayors who have the authority to select staff, he is committing an unfair act by removing 'en-bloc' people who have invested in becoming politically engaged.
Edi Rama is despising the SP activists, considering them his slaves and obedient. Today is the moment for the opposition to take them to its defense, not a priori, but rightly, to protect the trampled dignity of hundreds of people. Whom no one in the SP, shamelessly, has the courage to take them to its defense.
When these officials, who are ultimately human, see that someone is protecting them, they can speak out, thus opening "Pandora's Box" within the majority. And after that, the domino effect will begin, where everyone whose soul has come to the 'tip of their nose' will point the finger at the chief oligarch of the majority and the entire country. Then we will be at the beginning of the end, and everything will be easier./ Pamphlet
