Former President Bamir Topi spoke about the fourth term of Prime Minister Edi Rama. He expressed himself quite critically, drawing parallels with the past totalitarian system and the cult of one.
Topi said that Rama's power stems from the agreement with Berisha in 2008 and they share power, one in office and the other in opposition.
"Rama is the prime minister and the leader of the majority and I have absolutely no need for Edi Rama. In political life, he has obstructed the project for me to become head of state in 2007. I have zero benefit from his mandate. Today, he has taken all the powers from the 2008 agreement.
These ideas of his like the Bektashi state are extravagant projects. He should go to the UN and declare there from the tribune the project for the Bektashi state. How is it possible to declare a project when in this country, when things are so important for a country, it should be discussed, the structures should be taken, or even go to the referendum that we have forgotten.
This is a small country that has gone through a system once. It seems like we are going to the traces of the power of one. I would consider the idea of the continuity of the power of one person to be frightening. Democracy is no longer felt to exist because they are comfortable with one in power and the other monopolist of 25 parties. It is a matter of maintaining power when major paradoxes occur. The more problems there are, the more mandates they get. It is a climate that in medicine is called an organized, calcified process and if it is not removed with surgery, there is no prescription that cures it , "said Topi on the show "Të Paekspozuarit".
