Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi has once again commented on the result of the local elections in the municipalities of Elbasan and Kamëz, where citizens voted electronically.
Celibashi informs that the data obtained from the recount of some ballot boxes for the Elbasan and Kamëz Municipalities have shown that they match the data obtained from the electronic voting and counting devices.
"The data from the recount match 100% with the result of the electronic system transmitted by the electronic voting and counting equipment (PEVN) in CEC Albania", writes Celibashi.
According to him, the data from the revaluation/recounting of some VCs are from the Municipality of Elbasan and Kamëz. In the May 14 elections, apart from the above two municipalities, voting and counting was done electronically in Vora as well.
The opposition has claimed that in the May 14 elections there was voter manipulation and one of the reasons was the electronic voting and counting.
Three days ago, (June 2, 2023) at the weekly conference with journalists, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha stated that 240 manipulative interventions were found in only 6 voting centers in Kamëz.
"We have the first results of the examination of the electoral process in 6 voting centers in Kamez against the 133 centers that this municipality has. In these 6 centers, 240 cases of manipulative intervention were found. The operator votes himself with several identity cards. The SP commissioner votes for the voter. There are other cases where 1 person votes for 3 voters", said Berisha. Meanwhile, the former prime minister has also published a video, where, according to him, it is clear that some people have interfered in the voting process of the citizens.
