The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a press conference reacted to the controversies regarding the DP list for the May 11 elections.
Berisha clarified that no person has been removed from the list due to a different opinion.
"If you stop as a political scientist, you will not find in 34 years on the Albanian political scene a man like Sali Berisha who not only accepts, but prefers diversity, and I say this with the deepest conviction. No man has been removed and cannot be removed that Sali Berisha could not tolerate him for his opinions different from mine. Never, that happens.
Those who think this. Any of the people who may have thought that they are not on the list for this reason are mistaken, no one can be left out. Ultimately, I started this political life for the most fundamental motive of accepting different opinions. That was it.
If you take me back to where I started, I started for a different opinion. I started for a different opinion, when it sometimes cost a very high price. I'm not giving up on it. No one positions me for why, opposes or criticizes me in a position where I can say that I don't tolerate you.
"They may think this is normal, but it's not true," he said.
