The suspicions that Meta had an escape plan in Hungary, where Gruevski is located, are still growing...
Ilir Meta has received support from Nikola Gruevski for his arrest by the police. No international institution has reacted until today, the only ones who have come to his side are Gruevski's loyalists in North Macedonia.
The Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia and at the same time the number two of VMRO DPMNE, Aleksandër Nikoloski, in an interview for Alsat M, said that he has seen footage of Meta's arrest and that a democratic state does not act in that way with a former president. He said that the images are not worthy of a democratic country, especially in Europe.
" I cannot enter into the internal affairs of Albania, this is the work of the Albanian institutions. But if someone is suspected, they can be invited. The images we saw on TV were not at all worthy of a democratic country, especially in Europe ," said Nikoloski.
His statement further adds to the suspicions that Meta had an escape plan in Hungary, where Gruevski is.
On the day of his arrest, Ilir Meta was returning from a visit to Kosovo, a very mysterious visit in fact. Meta himself has not announced any meetings there on social networks.
In fact, it is the Kosovo media that reports that he met with Menduh Thaçi, the chairman of the Albanian Democratic Party in North Macedonia. This was accepted by Thaçi himself in a statement for "Indeks Online". The question that arises is: Why would Meta meet Menduh Thaci in Kosovo and not in Macedonia or Albania?
According to " Pamphlet " sources, there are doubts that Meta was actually thinking of escaping through Kosovo to Serbia and then to Hungary, going to his friend, Nikola Gruevski. Menduh Thaçi seems to have served as a bridge between them, given that he has recognition, as his party was once in a coalition with VMRO-DPMNE. Gruevski has given him guarantees that he will wait for him there and would guarantee him the benefit of asylum by intervening with the authorities.
SPAK, with the help of the Americans, was made aware of the scenario and intervened quickly. He cooperated with the Kosovo authorities, who did not let him leave and he returned to Morina. It is learned that the Operational Forces followed him from behind at every moment, monitoring his every step.
A few months ago, Meta often mentioned Gruevski. He admitted that he was a friend and had suggested that he not run away, but it was all camouflage. In fact, a few weeks ago Ilir Meta visited Macedonia, where he met with the head of VMRO and some other officials. / Pamphlet
