Although there are injuries and murders every day, the country's Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to describe Albania as the safest country in Europe.
The statements were made before the signing of the agreement for the organization of the "World Law Congress Albania 2027".
Rama stated that the country has progressed and if 50 years ago for the world and Europe we were like North Korea, an isolated communist totalitarian country, things have changed and we are hosts to many world events.
" In 2027, Albania will not only host the World Justice Congress, but also the NATO Summit, as well as the European Under-21 Football Finals. These are extraordinary things that are happening thanks to the work we have done. We must bear in mind that it was not 100 years ago. We were completely isolated and we were the North Korea of Europe. We claimed to be the only true and genuine communist country. Last year we closed with 12 million visitors ," Rama said.
The Prime Minister invited tourists to come to Albania, considering our country as one of the safest countries in Europe, with the lowest theft rate.
" We had to fight for many years against the stigma, which in a way has followed us like a shadow since we came to Europe. A stigma that wanted us to be criminals, thieves, kidnappers and thus it resulted that Albania was a gloomy place and no one should go. But fortunately, all this has come to an end. Anyone who comes to Albania is welcomed by security. We have the lowest theft rate in Europe ," the prime minister added.
Apparently, Prime Minister Edi Rama forgot that reality does not match good words and chose to please himself, as the main local news remains those of murders, clashes between criminal gangs resulting in the deaths of ordinary citizens.
