Elvis Roshi, the former socialist mayor of Kavaja, who lost his mandate due to the decriminalization law, has publicly positioned himself in favor of the 'Great Albania Alliance' coalition led by Sali Berisha, for the May 11 elections.
In a post on social media, Elvis Roshi confirmed his participation in the Democrats' rally two days ago, for which he said he supported his uncle's son, Elton Roshi, who is running on the open Democrats' list in the Tirana District.
Roshi writes that he did not go to that rally disguised, but wore a hood because it was raining.
"I don't hide from anyone and I don't disguise myself from anyone. I was at that electoral meeting because I support my cousin, my uncle's son, the son of Kavaja, Elton Rroshi. And to support my family man, I have neither fear nor shyness or anything else," writes the former socialist mayor.

Elvis Roshi's reaction
I was there with a hoodie over my head because it was raining outside. That's it! For those who know me, love me or hate me, they know very well that this is very funny.
Because I'm not one of those men who disguises himself, let alone hide. Because there's no reason to be afraid or to hide.
For those who know me or pretend not to know me, I have proven to withstand much more aggressive political situations.
I want to explain to the citizens of my city, my beloved Kavaja!
I want to clarify for my friends, comrades and political associates and not only!
I don't hide from anyone and I don't disguise myself from anyone.
I was at that electoral meeting because I support my cousin, my uncle's son, the son of Kavaja, Elton Rroshi.
And to support the man in my family, I have no fear, no shyness, nothing else…….. OK!
Elton is a wonderful guy, an honest man and I will support him not only because he is one of my tribe, but because he deserves to be a representative of the citizens of Kavaja, and the Tirana district in the Albanian Parliament.
