Tension and strong clashes at the Democratic Party leadership meeting, where Ervin Salianji openly spoke out against opposition leader Sali Berisha and Secretary General Flamur Noka.
As the meeting continues, strong details continue to emerge. According to sources inside the meeting, Salianji has demanded accountability for the obstacles to his grassroots activity, directly challenging Berisha with the question: “Which article of the statute prohibits members of the presidency from meeting with the Democrats?” He has accused the current leadership of exclusionary behavior and emphasized that “neglected Democrats should be heard, not excluded like in the SP; anyone who thinks differently is an asset and not a problem.”
The clash continued even more fiercely, when Salianji declared that "today I thought we had a meeting to overthrow Rama, you have it with me", accusing the leaders of deliberately shifting attention away from power. In reaction, Flamur Noka returned the words: "With what you are doing, you are serving those in front of you".
Salijanj's response was even more direct: "Resign, Flamur, you have destroyed the party; the mistake with the Ombudsman is your responsibility."
These developments reflect the deep division within the DP and the unresolved tensions that are holding the opposition hostage at a time when the country is facing multiple crises.
