
A 6-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), headed by Yunus Emre, will stay in Kosovo from December 27 to 29 to observe the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with leaders and representatives of the main political parties, including those representing non-majority communities, with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, with the Chairman of the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel, as well as with representatives of the international community, non-governmental organizations and the media.
On December 28, the delegation will follow the voting process, while during the visit it will have legal support from an expert from the Venice Commission, the Council of Europe's group of independent legal experts.
The purpose of the visit is to ensure that the elections are conducted in a free, transparent manner and in accordance with international democratic standards.
