At least 9 people were injured in the early hours of this Wednesday morning, from the explosion of a hand grenade in Prizren, Kosovo.
According to the media in Kosovo, the incident happened around 04:50 in the animal market of this city. According to the same sources, the injured are in the hospital and are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
"Today, 22.11.2023. around 04:50, the police received information about an injury case at the Animal Market in Prizren. From the first information, it was understood that 9 people suffered injuries from the explosion of a hand grenade. All the injured are in the emergency room of the Regional Hospital in Prizren. The police came to the scene and the guardian prosecutor was also informed. Regional investigations of Prizren have arrived at the scene and are collecting evidence and testimonies", said Vesel Gashi, spokesperson of the Regional Police of Prizren.
Previously, the media in Kosovo wrote that the police authorities have identified 3 people as suspected perpetrators and are working to catch them. The reason for the event is suspected to have been a dispute, for reasons and circumstances that are currently unclear.
