The attack in Banjska, Kurti: We cannot remove the security measures against
Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, participated in the European Union summit, which was held in Skopje, dedicated to the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.

In his speech to the journalists, the head of the government of Kosovo spoke once again about the attack in Banjska where Sergeant Afrimi Bunjaku was killed, until he said that they have their own security measures against Serbia.

" The weaponry was produced in Serbia and came from Serbia, the paramilitary group is free headed by Milan Radoicic. So we don't have trade measures against Serbia, only security measures. We cannot remove the security measures until we have the paramilitary group free and where they are organizing without changing their goals and behavior" , he said.

Further, Kurti spoke about the plan for the expansion of the European Union, until he said that this plan will bring financial support to the six countries of the Western Balkans.

" We have the growth plan which will bring 6 billion euros of financial support to 6 Western Balkan countries that want to join the European Union. Financial support depends on the work and performance separately, therefore, if the states in the Berlin process achieve something positive, then it is transferred to the growth plan, but if they hinder each other, then the growth plan has no effect ", Kurti declared before the media.

Kurti said that EU membership is the goal of Kosovo and its citizens, where the percentage is around 94%.

" The Balkan region must be integrated, but peace is needed and security threats must stop ," he said, among other things.

Kurti also thanked the EU, the USA and North Macedonia for this important meeting, which according to him will enable as much regional cooperation as possible, but also a more accelerated progress towards the EU.
