The acting minister declares that he received a threatening phone call from an unknown person, while the case is being investigated by the competent authorities.
The acting Minister of the Government of Kosovo, Elbert Krasniqi, has reported to the Police a case of threats that, according to his statement, occurred over the phone.
According to information provided by sources close to the investigation, Krasniqi appeared at the Regional Investigation Sector in Peja on June 3. He informed authorities that the previous evening he had received a threatening phone call from a person he did not know.
Following the report, the Police informed the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja. The Prosecutor in Charge for Serious Crimes authorized the registration of a criminal case for the offense of "Intimidation".
Due to the public function of the injured party and the circumstances of the case, the investigative procedures are expected to be transferred to the Department for the Investigation of Serious Crimes in Pristina.
So far, no information has been published on the content of the threat or the person suspected of making it.
The Police and the Prosecution are continuing investigations to identify the perpetrator and fully clarify the incident.
