
The NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, has announced that from September 5 to 7, it will conduct a military exercise in western Kosovo.
According to the announcement, due to military exercises, KFOR soldiers and vehicles will be stationed in the vicinity of Krusheva and Deçan Monastery during this period.
"The NATO-led KFOR mission will conduct a routine military exercise in western Kosovo from September 5 to 7, 2023. The exercise activity will be conducted by the Regional Command-Multinational Contingencies West and will focus on the procedures and preparation of operational readiness of the unit. During this period, KFOR soldiers and vehicles will be stationed in the vicinity of Krusheva and Dečani Monastery", the announcement states.

"Training activities will include both day and night field movements. There will also be convoys of military vehicles made up of heavy engineering equipment traveling on major and secondary roads within the area. KFOR conducts these routine exercises for rehearsal and training purposes to provide a timely and safe response whenever required. "KFOR seeks to ensure minimal impact on the civilian population at all times during the exercise and seeks the cooperation of local communities during this activity," the announcement continues.
