The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, addressed the Serbian public with another message, this time on the social network 'Instagram', regarding the attack in Banjska and the reaction of the international community that followed.
Vucic accused Kosovo of manipulating the truth, as he added that in the next 24 hours he will come out with evidence of what happened in Banjska and how one of the Serbian terrorists was brutally killed by the Kosovo police.
He also denied claims that Serbia has deployed the army on the border, as he thanked Russia for its support and added that the West has exerted great pressure on Serbia these 7 days.
" The seven most difficult days in the last 15 years are behind us, because of the events in Kosovo and Metohija, but also because of the general campaign launched against our Serbia, the campaign of lies and the campaign of untruths. As our people say, it does not snow to cover the mountain, but for every animal to show its tracks. We saw that we have friends, they are not many, but they are brave. These are people who respect order and the UN and the right of the little ones to their voice, if you will, the right to life and survival. We faced the worst possible pressures. The hardest part was listening to the stories about how we had to welcome the action of the Kosovo police. And assurances that it wasn't professionally done were for naught.
Our question was why EULEX was not allowed to participate in that operation, but was placed in the operation room to observe from afar... Those efforts to keep silent about how some Serbs were killed failed. I inform you that within 24 hours you will be able to hear and see it. We have statements from eyewitnesses who were at the scene, how and in what manner at least one person was brutally killed ", said Vučič, reports Danas.
He declared that Serbia will not calm down until the full truth is known, as he did not leave it unprovoked, adding that Albanians can only dream of Kosovo's independence.
" It is up to us to unite, be even stronger, build more factories, roads, hospitals, strengthen our army and defend our country. You can dream about the independence of Kosovo, Serbia will defend the UN charter. Serbia will defend Resolution 1244 and its territorial integrity ," said the president of Serbia.
This is the third speech of the Serbian president about Banjska, not counting individual statements to foreign and local media.
