During a media conference, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, accused the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, of being the one who is hindering the advancement of agreements between the two countries. According to him, Kurti does not want to implement any agreement reached so far between the two countries and mediated by internationals.
Among other things, Vučič expressed his determination that Serbia does not recognize Kosovo's independence and that it will neither recognize nor accept any document that aims to force it to support Kosovo's membership in the United Nations.
" There is no legal basis on which they can stay in the north of Kosovo as security forces. According to the Brussels agreement, the regional police is composed of Serbs and they propose the director. Neither of these was the case. Despite the persecution of the population, the number of newborn babies will be higher than last year. Kurti doesn't want to enforce any agreement. Serbia will implement everything it said, but will also wait for the formation of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian Majority. We made identity cards, license plates, we always tried to reach a compromise. "Serbia does not recognize and will not recognize the independence of Kosovo ," said Vucic.
