The Serbian president has stated that Serbs are being denied their rights by the Kurti government, with the aim, according to him, to achieve an agenda towards Greater Albania.
The session of the United Nations Security Council dedicated to the six-month report on the work of the UN Mission in Kosovo and Metohija is underway in New York. Kosovo is represented by the president, Vjosa Osmani, while Serbia is represented by the president, Aleksandër Vucic.
The first to speak at the meeting of the Security Council was Vucic, who started with the Association. He stated that 11 years have passed since this EU-mediated agreement was reached, and Kosovo still has not created the Association of Serb-majority municipalities in the north. Vucic raised claims that Serbia has met all the criteria required by the EU.
On 19.4.2024. it was exactly 11 years since the Brussels Agreement. One of the signatories was the EU. 11 years later, even though the Serbs have fulfilled all the difficult obligations from that agreement, the ZSO is nowhere to be seen ," said Vucic.
Further, Vucic complained to the Security Council that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is terrorizing the Serbian community in Kosovo, and that these actions of Kurti are being rewarded by the international community. The Serbian president has stated that Serbs are being denied their rights by the Kurti government, with the aim, according to him, to achieve an agenda towards Greater Albania.
" The Serbian community is unable to accept salaries, wages and pensions... the oppression of Serbs has been strengthened since the last session. 16 recent attacks, some with weapons in Graçanica. Let me remind you that the emergency session was held at the request of the Republic of Serbia, that the temporary institutions of the so-called Kosovo led by Albina Kurti caused tensions. Serbia presented to the UN Security Council everything that happened, legal violence, physical violence and selective targeting of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. All the members of the UN Security Council assessed that our arguments and submitted complaints were in accordance with the facts ", said Vucic.
The Serbian president further emphasized that Prishtina creates unbearable conditions for the life of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. According to him, the abolition of the Serbian dinar was the culmination of a prolonged ethnically motivated campaign against the Serbs,
" Employees (Serbians) in institutions are facing Albin Kurti's regime, discrimination of a high degree. And this for the reasons that they are not Albanians and are not involved in an agenda for a greater Albania ", he said.
Further, Vucic also spoke about Banjska, which according to him happened as a result of the daily persecution of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and that Serbia publicly warned that Serbs were suffering ethnically motivated and systematically planned attacks.
" Another indicator that Albin Kurti lied is when he talked about the alleged introduction of quarterly periods when it comes to the introduction of a new currency, which did not happen and he is constantly rewarded. And it shows that they never told the truth. We expect UNMIK to provide a clear and accurate report on the situation on the ground and an objective report ," said Vucic.
He also recalled the elections of a year ago in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, which according to him were held illegally. Referring to yesterday's referendum for the replacement of the president, he emphasized that Prishtina has manipulated the voter lists and scared the Serbs that the referendum will not succeed, and added that the decision to boycott the referendum was justified.
" The new Albanian municipal authorities were confirmed without any political legitimacy and then came as invaders accompanied by heavily armed special forces ," he said.
He further emphasized that Serbia is committed to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, but according to him, the problem is the fact that Pristina does not implement any of its commitments./ Pamphlet
