Confrontation at the UN/ From the Dinar issue, to the ethnic cleansing and the

Meanwhile, regarding the banning of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo, Kurti said that the changes made by the CBK do not prevent Serbia from financing the Serbs in the North. According to him, this whole situation is Vučić's propaganda to incite tensions.

Prime Minister Albin Kurit has responded to the claims raised by the Serbian president, Aleksandër Vucic, at the UN Council meeting in New York.

Kurti rejected all Vucic's claims that Kosovo has launched a campaign of repression against Serbs in the North. Kurit listed a number of arguments refuting Vučić's claims, ranging from the number of Serbian deputies in the Assembly, to the number of municipalities run by Serbian minorities, to allowing the Serbian language as an official language for minorities in the north.

" All these are false claims of persecution from a country that is known to have committed the genocide of the end of the 20th century. Kosovo came out of the war as a symbol of the fight for dignity and the triumph of human rights. We have not been sad, we have built ourselves into a very ethnic and multicultural society with a state that looks forward and is solidly democratic. A quarter of a century after the war, we stand proudly as a Republic for all, a multi-ethnic society for all. We proudly say that we implement the Constitution with the highest measures to protect the rights of minorities, 20 guaranteed seats in the parliament out of 120 in total, of which 10 belong to Serbs in particular. Serbs in Kosovo also have 10 of the 38 municipalities in Kosovo. The Serbian language is the official language everywhere. The idea that Kosovo is carrying out ethnic cleansing or persecution of the Serbian community is simply a lie that has been denied by many international organizations ," Kurti said.

Then the Prime Minister of Kosovo began to list the monstrous treatment that Serbia is doing to the Albanians on the other side of the border. Kurti said that over 6,000 Albanians have been removed from the civil registry in Medvegja and Bujanoc, as a form of repression against Albanians. This action, Kuriti added, denies Albanians in Serbia access to identity cards, passports, medical services, social assistance, property transactions, pensions and voting rights.

" Let's focus on Serbia's treatment of ethnic Albanians there today. The ethnic cleansing campaign that is carried out administratively... The Serbian government has systematically removed over 4,200 ethnic Albanians from the civil registry in Medvegja and over 2,000 in Bujanoc. This atonement of people has tangible consequences, victims no longer have access to IDs, passports, medical services, social assistance, property transactions, pensions and voting rights, thus rendering them stateless. This campaign is a method of depopulation of the Albanians there ", said Kurit.

As for the banning of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo, Kurti said that the changes made by the CBK do not prevent Serbia from financing the Serbs in the North. According to him, this whole situation is Vučić's propaganda to incite tensions.

" Now we are talking about the CBK regulation. The regulation does nothing, neither prohibits nor prevents the Government of Serbia from providing financial assistance to Kosovo Serbs. Everything else is false propaganda and incitement. The regulation brings the legality of the import of money in Kosovo in accordance with the constitution and monetary policy of the EU. Belgrade has sounded the alarm not because of the exchange of dinars into euros, but because bags of dinars are being stopped at the borders and they are complaining not because of concern for the Serbian citizens of Kosovo, but because those money pipelines in the north of Kosovo are stop ", said Kurti.

Kurti also recalled the case of the terrorist attack in Banjska on September 24, where police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed and two others were injured. He directly accused Vučić of being the financier of the terrorist group that attacked the policemen in Bansjka. Kurti also emphasized that Serbia is protecting terrorists like Radoicic, for whom there is an international arrest warrant.

" A clear case happened on September 24 last year. About 80 Serbian-backed paramilitaries launched an unprovoked attack on a police patrol in Kosovo, resulting in the death of police officer Afrim Bunjaku and the injury of two others. Despite the terrorist attempt using innocent pilgrims as shields, our Police avoided these victims. On September 27, Serbia announced a day of mourning for the terrorists killed by the Kosovo Police and by the anti-terrorist operation. You noticed that today, Mr. Vucic was recalling some Serbs who were injured or wounded in various incidents, but he did not mention the three killed Serbs, why did he not mention them? Because I know that they were terrorists financed, supported and orchestrated by him, and that's why the three killed Serbs were not mentioned at all ", said Kurti.

In the end, Kurti also spoke about the non-signing of the Brussels and Ohrid agreements by Serbia. He accused Serbia of not fulfilling two key obligations regarding Kosovo, which hinders Kosovo's international membership and respect for territorial integrity.

" Serbia rejects two key obligations, not to hinder Kosovo's international membership and not to respect territorial integrity. The signing of the agreement is not only a formality, it is also a guarantee for its full and unconditional implementation, as well as for peace and security in the Balkans. Despite my repeated offers, Mr. Vucic has refused to sign, I invite him to sign here today, immediately, emphasizing the crucial role of the UN charter in this relationship. This symbolic act would demonstrate his commitment to peaceful relations with Kosovo ", Kurti said among other things.

Kurti also said that it is not a surprise that Serbia provokes problems from the legal actions of Kosovo. He recalled that Serbia is led by top figures of Slobodan Milosevic's regime, including President Aleksandar Vucic.
