The Kosovo police have confirmed that a police car was attacked with stones while patrolling near the municipal facility of Zveçan. As a result of the attack, the window of the car was broken, but no injuries were reported.
In a response to the REL, the Kosovo Police has confirmed that investigations into this case have begun.
" We can confirm that a police car which was on official duty patrolling in the direction of the municipality of Zveqan, was obstructed and attacked with strong means by the protesters" , says the response of the Kosovo Police.
The police car was stuck between the protesters, who are opposing the new Albanian president, for about 15 minutes, until the road was opened for traffic by members of the NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR.
Attacks on Kosovo Police vehicles were also reported last week, when a policeman was injured. Similar attacks were also carried out against media teams in municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
