Scenes in the Assembly of Kosovo, the US ambassador reacts: Violence is not a solution, resolve disputes through dialogue

American Ambassador Jeff Hovenier reacted after the violence that happened today in the Assembly of Kosovo.

Hovenier wrote that it is a pity to see what happened today.

He added that the use of violence is not a means to express disagreements.

" It is unfortunate to see what happened today in the Assembly of Kosovo. I wish I didn't have to say this: the use of violence is never an acceptable means of expressing dissent.

In any democracy there are often strong differences. But differences must be resolved through discourse — a fundamental goal of any legislative democracy ," Hovenier wrote.
