
The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has declared tomorrow a day of mourning in honor of the murdered police officer, Afrim Bunjaku. The news was announced by the presidency through a post on the Facebook social network.
"President Vjosa Osmani declares Monday a day of national mourning in honor of the murdered police officer, Afrim Bunjaku. The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in support of the Constitution of Kosovo, has decided that Monday, September 25, 2023, will be declared a state day of mourning in honor of the policeman Afrim Bunjaku, killed in the north of the country.
The state mourning will be on Monday, while the State Protocol is tasked with taking all the necessary actions to implement this decision", the announcement of the presidency states.
The Kosovo Police officer, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed in the early hours of Sunday in the village of Banjské, in the north of Kosovo, by Serbian aggressors, while two others were injured.
