The Diocese of Raskë-Prizren has said that the situation in the Banjska Monastery is currently calm, as the armed men have left the monastery.

The diocese has said that there is a presence of the Kosovo Police and EULEX in front of the entrance gates and in the courtyard of the monastery.

"In the dormitory of the monastery there are still the abbot with his brotherhood, as well as a group of believers from Novi Sad, including two minors. The Directorate of the Monastery announces that everyone is fine, that regular services are held in the chapel of the monastery, with the hope that this drama will end as soon as possible", the announcement of the Diocese states.
