The celebration of the birthday of the hero Gjergj Kastriot, on May 6 in the central square of Pristina "Skënderbeu", announced by the organizers as a "Holy Day for Albanians", has irritated the high structures in Serbia, including Vucic himself.
The former ambassador of Serbia to the USA, Marko Djuric, through an article on his profile in "X", attacked the rapporteur for Kosovo at the Council of Europe, Dora Bakoyannis, a day ago, after the latter stated that no other country they have been asked to fulfill the criteria that are being asked of Kosovo for the European Council.
Everything related to Kosovo is provoking harsh reactions from Belgrade more than ever before. Even if the activities of the Albanians are symbolic, especially those regarding the identity of the Albanians, they are irritating the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vučič. Such a signal also came for the grandest event to honor the figure of Skenderbeu, which is scheduled to be held on May 6 in Pristina.
The organization "Albania", which organizes events related to the preservation and cultivation of heritage, is organizing this event with the message of honoring Skënderbeu "a man who united Albanians under the banner of freedom and glory".
"On this day, we take inspiration from the works and life of Skenderbeu, a symbol of resistance and dignity for all Albanians, regardless of religions and regions. In this celebration, we promote the feeling of unity and respect for our common historical heritage", says the announcement of this organization.
"On this special day, we at the "Albania" Organization invite all Albanians to join in this beautiful celebration of national identity and unity. All together, we continue the glorious path of Skanderbeg, building a stronger and more united future for future generations", the message emphasizes.
In the invitation distributed by this organization, all Albanians are invited to gather in Skënderbeu Square in Pristina, at 1:00 p.m., on May 6.
This day, which the organizers have named as a Holy Day for Albanians - the celebration of Gjergj Kastriot's birthday, is expected to be used by Vucic at the UN, as we usually see him using every opportunity to attack Kosovo.
Pamphlet sources inform that representatives of the Serbian community in Kosovo during a meeting expressed that this event will be the next attack by Vucic against Kosovo. According to them, they are alerted by the state officials of Serbia for these reactions, as they are pressured that they are not doing enough to become victims of the attempts of the Albanians for "Greater Albania". Therefore, they have declared that on May 6 this manifestation of the birthday of the hero Kastriot in the square of Pristina will be used by Kosovo from Belgrade in the next international meetings.
