CEC spokesperson, Valmir Elezi, announced that with the start of voting in the US and Canada, the process is already taking place in all diplomatic missions of Kosovo.
Voting is being held in 29 diplomatic missions in 18 countries and, according to the CEC, is taking place without any obstacles.
"With the start of voting in diplomatic missions in the United States of America and Canada, at 1:00 PM local time in Kosovo, we inform you that the voting process is now continuing in all diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kosovo.
So, the voting process is taking place in 29 diplomatic missions of Kosovo, located in 18 different countries around the world.
Through continuous communication with polling stations at diplomatic missions, the voting process is taking place without any obstacles.
"According to data from 24 diplomatic missions, as of 1:00 p.m., out of 19,187 registered voters, 36.89% or 7,079 voters have voted," Elezi declared.
As of 1:00 p.m., out of 19,187 voters registered in 24 diplomatic missions, 7,079 people or 36.89 percent have voted.
Elezi emphasized that today, on December 27, 2025, only citizens registered for this voting method can vote, while identification is also allowed with expired documents of the Republic of Kosovo.
"Only voters registered at diplomatic missions will be able to vote today, December 27, 2025, as the voting list sent to the diplomatic mission only contains the names of citizens who selected this voting method when they registered as voters outside Kosovo during the registration period (November 26 - December 6, 2025).
"Also, identification at the polling station of the diplomatic representation can be done through one of the three documents of the Republic of Kosovo: ID card, passport or driver's license. According to the CEC decision, these documents are accepted for identification even if they are expired," he emphasized.
