Former BBV resident Marius Dervishi, or as we all know him, Zebërvoki, has recounted the events that marked his life. The storms that forced him to make important decisions.
The events of 1997 are among the most painful in Albania's history. The state almost "melted apart" and the entire population rose up in massive protests.
A very difficult and turbulent year. During this period, an event shocked Marius' family.
Excerpt from the interview with "S'e Luan Topi"
Marius: A neighbor was shooting a gun in the air, accidentally fell and got his finger stuck in the trigger of the Kalashnikov. I took one bullet in the jaw and my mother took five bullets. In the abdomen and legs, that was a moment that I still suffer from to this day. The consequences of that event, since in different periods of my childhood I had to undergo several surgical operations.
Erjona: Initially, you were in a coma for 20 days.
Marius: Fortunately for me, I don't remember anything from that period, but I do remember the vicissitudes I encountered, the occasional interventions during my development and growth. The bullet had affected my salivary gland, my tongue was torn off because of the bullet.
Erjona : Meanwhile, mom took five bullets and miraculously threw them away, I must say...
Marius: Yes, there are no consequences or embarrassments from that event. Of course it was suffering, but the important thing is that today we are alive and well and are coping as best we can.
