The trial of British actor and comedian Russell Brand has been postponed and is expected to begin on October 12 in a London court. The trial was originally scheduled to begin in June.
Brand faces charges related to events that occurred between 1999 and 2009. Several women have accused him of rape, sexual assault and physical violence, bringing his personal and professional past into focus.
The actor has denied all charges and has pleaded not guilty. He is currently on bail, while preparing for a trial that could last up to two months due to the complex nature of the case and the number of charges.
