Renowned Canadian singer Celine Dion has confirmed her return to the stage, announcing that she will hold 10 concerts in Paris during September and October.
The news was announced on her 58th birthday, ending speculation that had been circulating for a long time, especially after an advertising campaign in the French capital. The announcement was also accompanied by a light show at the Eiffel Tower.
"This year I will receive the best gift of my life. I will have the opportunity to come see you and sing for you again in Paris starting this fall," the artist said in an interview with France 2.
Return after a difficult battle
Her return comes after facing Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disease that causes severe muscle spasms and which forced her to stop her musical activity in 2022.
Due to this diagnosis, she also canceled the Courage world tour.
Pre-sale of tickets for the concerts will begin on April 7th, while general sales will open on April 10th.
A world music icon,
Celine Dion remains one of the most successful artists in music history, known globally for the hit My Heart Will Go On, the main song from the film Titanic.
She has also achieved tremendous success with her Las Vegas residencies, among the most profitable in the industry.
Her last public appearance was at the opening of the 2024 Summer Olympics, where she performed the song Hymne à l'amour, further increasing expectations for her return to the stage.
