The well-known journalist, Zhaklin Lekatari, has spoken about the sexual video scandal of the former mayor of Kuka, Safet Gjici.
Lekatari stated in Top News that he does not see the girl identified as Alma Kaçi, who is seen having sex with Gjici in his office, as a victim, even though she declared to the authorities that she was sexually harassed by Gjici. According to Lekatar, she should have reported the case.
"There is a conflict between Alma's statement and Mr. Gjici's. She says that it was the first time she was sexually harassed and that's why she decided to film him engaging in the sexual act because she thought he liked it. When you felt harassed, you should have reported it, in order to find out the fact that there is such harassment and sexual abuse in state offices. That's why I said that I don't see either Alma or Gjici as victims because they are victims of each other, but there are clashes. We know that in our Albania the problems with justice are big and there is a lack of trust. But still, we must respect these institutions. We must denounce the case, monitor them for law enforcement and imprison them", said Zhaklina.
Among other things, Zhaku also expressed regret for the broadcast of their image in the media.
"I also feel sorry for them because of the public lynching, as this lynching draws attention from the real problem and the solution to the real problem. We deal with the 69 that was in the lady's hat. In my opinion, Mrs. Alma has the right to be respected and to live her life with integrity regardless of the choices she makes in her private and personal life."
